In this edition of BY Our People, we shine the spotlight on Project Manager Liam Frank, who has been with the company for 3 years now. We asked Liam a few questions to learn more about his role within BY Group.
I’m a proud Ngemba man from North Western NSW.
I have experience in tier one Construction spending 5 years on the Ribbon Project (W Hotel) in Darling Harbour, before joining BY Group in 2021.
The opportunity with BY Group presented itself through my brothers surveying company, Wumara Group, completing work for BY Group on the AHO Oxley Park Project. BY Group was referred to me by my brother as a professional company with strong community and social focuses which was important when making the decision to join the company.
The community engagement aspect of the business inspires and creates a sense of pride when working for BY Group. Working along side community organisations such as Clontarf Foundation, Lloyd Mcdermott Foundation and multiple local junior sporting clubs as sponsors and/or volunteers with the company is a key aspect of working at BY Group.
Within the past 12 months I have transitioned to the civil arm of the business primarily working on data centres within NSW, Victoria and New Zealand. These projects provide the critical data and digital infrastructure that underpins security, social and economic wellbeing throughout Australia and New Zealand.
A cold beer(s) with mates.
Climbed Mount Rinjani in Indonesia. I wouldn’t do it again, but open to other climbs.
